ZERO warranty from Whirlpool in Mumbai
Defective within days. No response from Whirlpool service or corporate after complaints. Product maybe good but pathetic zero stars warranty.I ordered this on March 7th and thought to review this after 6 months.The day of delivery we pointed out the freezer control job was loose and seemed faulty. The demo exec Arif, said “no problem just leave the outside on Auto and don’t touch the know.”After 5 months the refrigerator started leaking water inside the chill tray.After calling Whirlpool they promised a technician would call in 3 hours to schedule an appointment.After 4 days of calls the Whirlpool tech turned up.1- When he was shown the issues he opened the rear panel of the freezer and said the know is broken from behind?I asked him isn’t it obvious when it’s so loose that even any vessel touches the knives turns by itself.2-He said the water leakage is due to gap in top of the refrigerator gasket. Within 5 months?3- I asked him to set the temp from the outer control panel on the door. He could not set the convert or manual temp button. He promised to write a report.So if you want a premium fault free refrigerator go for Samsung, Godrej or Hitachi.My last Hitachi lasted 12 years, Godrej before that lasted 16 years.Dumbest decision to exchange the Hitachi due to slight rusting for this Whirlpool.Preferably but from a store like Croma or Sony Mony. They help with escalation in case of such defective products and pathetic after sales support from manufacturers. Lesson learnt.

Product looks good as of now, Delivered in good packing without any dent. Demo done on next date. Good product performance in 4 days use. Very silent operation. Whirlpool is a good brand. Previously using Samsung double door 330 Ltrs which lasts for only 5 years and not repairable so switched to Whirlpool now. Height wise also more and spacious than Samsung. Good deal in Great Indian festival. Observed one small issue, Refrigerator light is very less as compare to other models.

Well designed NON-convertible refrigerator
First important note: This is NOT convertible refrigerator. Convertible usually means you should be able to use the top freezer section as a fridge and store vegetables there. This model doesn’t do that (despite adverting as 5-in-1 convertible). Instead it has some gimmicky modes, that too super unintuitive to switch modes. Whirlpool please don’t mislead people. I just bought the refrigerator trusting the brand value without going deep into comments section. After knowing that it is not convertible, the brand value to me is destroyed. Now coming to the other review:Pros:- The compressor noise level is very low, I can barely notice it running.- Design is specious as per the size. One extra rack is provided.- The cooling performance is good. I kept it on auto mode, and seems its doing its job – keeping my veggies fresh for few days.- The fridge section light is placed at ideal location – able to lit up entire fridge.Cons:- NOT convertible- You need to use combo of a physical rotating knob located inside the freezer, two push buttons located outside (they look like touch buttons, but they aren’t) to change the so called “modes”. There is no instruction sticker on the refrigerator itself guiding to change the modes. I was unable to find the manual online too. If you loose the physical manual and forget which combo to use to change modes, you are done!- Build quality of the crome bar separating the freezer and the fridge could have been better. It feels cheap and loose.- No light inside the freezer. I see a lot of brands are doing the same.- Its a frost-free model. That means, I shouldn’t see any ice buildup inside freezer. But on the top wall of the freezer, I see water droplets are forming and eventually turning into ice. Not to a level that I need manual defrosting, or causing any issue though.Delivery and installation review:- Item was delivered on time, without any damage. Thanks to Amazon.- Installation was done on the next day of delivery. I live in a metro city.- The installation person tried to sell the Whirlpool brand stabilizer. The same is recommended on the user manual. What is the point of “stabilizer free operation”?- Overall the product warranty is only one year. As per the extended warranty quotation provided by the installation person, I fell it is expensive.
